Part-Time Dog Walker/Dog Social Convenor Position

Who You Are:

• You have experience with dogs - walking, playing, snuggling, squeezing, sniffing, confiding in, laughing at or with.

• You understand that dog walking is a dream job but also very hard work that requires critical thinking and maturity.

• You have a reliable vehicle and can follow specific directions.

• You have an iPhone for texting and taking pics/vids of the dogs doing silly things.

• You don’t cut corners, you are kind, you are fully vaccinated and a bit weird.

• You are available to walk dogs during peak times (M-F 10am-2pm). It doesn’t have to be everyday.

• If you are big on the Cesar Milan dominance/pack leader garbage you can move right along. I’m not interested.

Job Description:

• Pick up assigned dogs from their homes, walk or play with a group of their friends, then drop them back off at home.

• Work outdoors in a variety of Winnipeg weather conditions.

• Maintain the security and safety of the dogs and the clients’ homes.

• Use reassuring, positive and fear-free vibes when with the dogs. No “alpha” or “pack leader” talk. Don’t be silly.

• Walk dogs ON LEASH or play in fenced yards. No off-leash shenanigans or dog park mayhem.

• Communicate things the dogs did and anything else of note.

• Take photos and videos of dogs being cute.

• Submit hours/dogs walked biweekly.
