POLICIES
Necessary Equipment - Please respect that these are our required tools of the trade. I don’t tell you what scalpel/pen/calculator to use at your job so don’t tell me what to use at mine.
6' flat nylon leash (⅝” or ¾” width preferred) with no poop bag holders attached, no clips, no knots, no metal/plastic rings
Collar with identification tags
Front clip harness (Easywalk or Freedom) or Halti/Gentle Leader
Dog towels for paw wiping
Spay/neuter — All dogs over the age of 7 months must be spayed or neutered.
Vaccinations - All dogs (except puppies - see below) must have proof of Distemper, Parvo & Bordatella vaccinations. Titre testing is cool too.
Probation period — All new dogs will undergo a one month probationary period. During this time i will be assessing your dog for pudgy suitability.
Off-leash — Dogs are on leash at all times in accordance with the City of Winnipeg by-law no. 2443/79. I allow off-leash play only in securely fenced yards. I do not go to off-leash dog parks. Cats will remain indoors while under my care.
Dogs with special needs — For my safety and the safety of the public, I have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to aggressive dogs. Termination of service will occur if a dog displays aggressive behaviour (biting, attacking, threatening) toward a person or another animal while in my care.
Puppies - Puppies will have yard/play time until they are trained to walk nicely on leash. All puppies must have completed at least their second round of vaccines plus their Bordatella.
